Winter Woodland Walk Sun 14th Feb (Valentine's Day): Stuck for something to do this Valentine's Day? Then why not visit the Hoveton Hall Estate and enjoy the glorious display of snowdrops in the woods followed by hot refreshments and a gift for the ladies. Open from 10am until 3pm (last entry at 2pm.) Guided walks available at 11am and 1pm, please turn up 10 minutes before the walk commences. Waterproof boots are essential, dogs on leads are welcome. Tickets cost £6, children under 16 £3. Ticket price includes refreshments. Tickets available on the gate. Daffodil Sunday 14th March (Mothering Sunday): Why not spoil your mother and grandmother this Mother's Day and bring them to the gardens to enjoy our spectacular display of daffodils. Entry is £6 per adult, £2.50 for children aged 5-14. Entry includes a special gift for every mother. Gardens are open from 10.30am to 5.00pm. Easter Treasure Hunt Fri 2nd - Mon 5th April: Bring your family to the gardens this Easter and enjoy exploring with our special Easter Treasure Hunt as well as our new children's tree trails. Normal entry fee applies. The Easter Treasure Hunt is free, with all entries getting an Easter prize. Gardens are open from 10.30am to 5.00pm. Children's Nature Trails Sat 1st - Mon 3rd May: Come and enjoy a great day out and let your children explore the gardens through a variety of different nature trails. Your children will come face to face with nature exploring the abundant wildlife and many different varieties of trees and plants which can be found in the garden. Normal entry fee applies and the nature trails are free of charge. Gardens are open from 10.30am to 5.00pm. Craft Fair Sat 29th to Mon 31st: For the third year we are holding a craft fair at the gardens. Browse a wide variety of stalls selling local produce crafted by local people. Entry is £5 per adult and £2.50 for children aged 5-14, no other concessions are accepted on these three days. Entry includes admission to the gardens. Craft Fair and gardens are open from 10.30am to 5.00pm. Do you know your Jubilee from your Elsanta? Indulge in our strawberry tasting sessions and delicious strawberry themed cakes in our tearooms. Usual entry and opening times apply. An Evening of Classical Music on the Veranda of Hoveton Hall Saturday 3rd July - Gates open at 6pm for a 7pm start Bring your own food and drink and enjoy spectacular music in a glorious setting. Tickets - £15 per person on the night. Victorian Extravaganza Family Fun Day (Rule Glorious Britannia 1800 - 1900) Sat 24th and Sun 25th July: For the first time in the gardens history we are hosting a spectacular historical event celebrating the lives, loves and glory of Britain in the 19th Century. Displays and activities include: Lord Holkhams Travelling Museum of Curiosities and Wonderment, Lucy Cornwallis's laundry services and life below stairs, Theodore Fanthorpe's Amazing Puppet Show, Soldiers from the Redcoats of Waterloo to the new khaki uniforms of the Boer campaign, Master Baxter's Bird of Prey display, Croquet on the lawn near the Hall, Rig a Jig Jig 19th century folk musicians, Madam Taylor's lace making display, The new marvel that is photography - Caolotype and wet-colodion plate images, Mrs Newton's Fashion Emporium, Master Jennings tall tales for adults and children, Victorian fortune teller and the Victorian Gardener - Mike Brown. Entry for this event is £7 per adult and £2.50 per child aged 5 and over. Family tickets are available for £17 (valid for two adults and two children over 5). You can buy a family ticket online now - please visit our shop for more details. All tickets are valid for one day's admission only. Admission will be from 10am to 5pm on both days. August Bank Holiday Weekend of Entertainment Teddy Bears Picnic Sat 28th Aug: If you go down to the woods today your sure of a big surprise! Bring your teddy to our special teddy bear's picnic. Turn up for one of our picnic slots of: 11.30am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment which includes: Musicial activities - Storytelling - Face painting - Best dressed teddy bear competition - Teddy bear treasure hunt and trails Entry: £2.50 per adult, £7.50 per child aged 3 and over (this includes a filled picnic box) Under 3's are FREE (optional picnic box available for the little ones at £2.95) or bring your own food. If you can bring a picnic rug or blanket to sit on as we will be in the woods and of course don't forget that teddy bear.
Dog Show and Trials Sun 29th August: Held at Hoveton Hall Estate. Bring your four legged friend to our fun dog show and trials and take part in the following categories: 11am Scruffiest Mutt 11.30am Agility 12pm Terrier Racing 12.30pm Retrieving 1pm Best in Show All kinds of dogs are welcome. Entry is £2.50 per dog and they can enter as many categories as you wish. There will also be an agility display for you to enjoy. For this day only dogs will be allowed around the garden provided they are kept on leads and all mess is removed. Entrance to the gardens will be charged at our normal admission rates: £5 per adult, £2.50 for children 5 and over.
