HOVETON HALL GARDENS HAS BEEN AWARDED A QUALITY VISITOR ATTRACTION
We are pleased to announce that Hoveton Hall Gardens has been awarded the accreditation of Quality Visitor Attraction by Visit England. We are extremely proud to have passed the inspection for this award and we will continue to make improvements to enhance the visitor experience.
NEW EVENT ANNOUNCED FOR JULY 2010
'Rule Britannia' 19th Century Pageant Sat 24th and Sun 25th July: For the first time in the gardens history we are hosting a spectacular historical event celebrating the lives, loves and glory of Britain in the 19th Century. Displays and activities will include: Falconery, Travelling Museum of Curiosities and Wonders, Victorian musicians, games, soldiers and calvary officers, Victorian photography, dances, sideshows, storytelling and role play. Entry for the event is £7 per adult and £2.50 per child aged 5 and over. family tickets are available for £17 (valid for two adults and two children over 5.) Admission will be from 10am to 5pm on both days.
NEW RE-FURBISHMENT FOR HOVETON HALL GARDENS
We are pleased to say that the major re-furbishment of the Hoveton Hall Gardens tea room and toilet facilities has now been completed. With extra space inside the tea room and a significantly improved toilet block, we hope it will make your visit to the gardens more enjoyable.
NEW FOR 2010: 19TH CENTURY IRON GLASS HOUSE
This building will be open to our garden visitors for the first time this year. It is one of only three or four glasshouses, constructed with iron, still surviving in England. It has been recently restored with the help of generous grants from English Heritage and the Country Houses Foundation. It was build in the first half of the 19th century and demonstrates the early use of iron in garden buildings. The plants in and around it are those which would have been selected at the time it was built.
HOVETON HALL GARDENS A FINALIST IN THE EDP NORFOLK TOURISM AWARDS 2009
Hoveton Hall Gardens reached the finals of the EDP Norfolk Tourism Awards 2009 for the Berry Savory Best Small Attraction. Despite not winning the award Hoveton Hall Gardens was praised as a quality attraction offering a warm, friendly and welcoming experience to its visitors.
